When you come to the market tomorrow (Dec. 7), don’t be disappointed if you don’t see us at our regular spot. We will be indoor at Farmers’ table with Good Earth Farm and Watercliff Permaculture Farm.
This is our arrangement for winter when the volume of produce of each farmer is relatively small.
We still bring sourdough bread, farmer’s muffins, koji bread, and whatever veggies we can harvest.
We will also bring a new product, “Farmers delight!!” or 野菜パン or Pain au légume. Bread with seasonal veggies from our farm and fellow farmers. This one has our green kale, salad radish including their green tops, carrots from Elgie Farm and Daikon radish from Watercliff Farm all on Gabriola. Veggies were seasoned and half roasted before baked on our whole grain spelt dough, which is fermented with rye starter, kneaded minimum and almost over proofed so the bread stays soft. With high protein content of spelt (low gluten) and veggies’ vitamins and minerals, this is a complete meal and goes well with beer!!

Hope to see you tomorrow!
