Half of the February has already gone and it is time to get started!
Inside of greenhouse, we started mustard seed trays. Next morning, we went back to the greenhouse and found that some of the seeds were dug up by a mouse… but just a few pods in each tray. Probably mustard seeds were not most favorite food for mice… lucky for us. Outside, we got a bed for peas ready. We will sow peas after the cold wave this week.
We did a lot of weeding, too.
Our new washing station is ready for preparing salad mix. Looking forward to the season.

- Island Roots Farmers’ Market: Beban Park, 2300 Bowen Road, Nanaimo, 3 – 6pm on Wednesday
- AGI Market: AGI Hall, Gabriola, 10am – 1pm on Saturday
