Sora Farm Newsletter-Vol. 74

It has been cold and rainy in Gabriola.

In Tokyo, plum flowers started to bloom! They bloom before cherry blossoms and they are as beautiful, if not more.

To avoid the crowds of cherry blossom season, visiting Japan in the end of February or beginning of March, which is plum blossom season, may be a good option.

On a cold rainy day, this one-bowl meal called Oyako-don will warm you up. “Oyako” means parent and child. In this dish, that is chicken and eggs, and “don” is a short form of “donburi”, which means a “bowl”. Click Here for the recipe.
