Sora Farm Newsletter-Vol. 53

Our heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes have been doing well this year. Our small greenhouse is full of colors. We got the seeds from our friend in Toronto and we don’t know the names of the varieties, but they are all beautiful to see and so delightful to taste!

We also had some cute twin veggies.

Wednesdays are our baking trial days. Last Wednesday, Kenji baked some raisin & walnut bread in smaller size and brought to the market. In response to feedback from some of our customers about the crust darker than they like, we have been brainstorming about what we could do. By making the size smaller, we thought we can make sure they are baked through while having lighter crust. We appreciate all the feedback as it is a chance to improve our products. Please give us any feedback if you are one of the lucky ones who bought the trial bread last week.

This Wednesday we will bring wholegrain sourdough rye-spelt loaf to the market. Please come early to get one!

Since one of our customers asked us for recipes of miso soup and miso dressing, we created a post. Pease click here if you are interested.

For our farm gate sale this Wednesday, we have salad mix(6), Romaine lettuce(4), komatsuna(4), radicchio(5), parsley(4), shishito peppers(5), cherry tomatoes(5), heirloom tomatoes(5), zucchini(3), kale(4), collard(4), chard(4), eggplants(4)(Prices are in bracket).
