Last week was a rainy and cold week. Two of the best things to do for those weeks are: baking bread and eating them.
We brought to the market 3 new products last week, German country bread (1st photo, combination of rye and spelt flour), farmer’s baguette (no photo, leavened with raisin starter) and rice bagels (2nd photo, made with rice and oats, no wheat). We are still doing lots of experimentations and when we have success, we will bring them to the market. We hope this little surprise will be another motivation for everyone to come to the market…

For our farm gate sale this Wednesday, we have salad mix(6), komatsuna(4), radicchio(5), parsley(4), shishito peppers(5), cherry tomatoes(5), heirloom tomatoes(5), kale(4), collard(4), chard(4) (Prices are in bracket). Please place an order by the end of Tuesday through sorafarmveggie@gmail.com, or just drop by and let us pick what you would like. Hours are 10am-1pm, address is 1820 Seymour road, Gabriola Island.
You can also place an order and pick it up at the Wednesday market. Please note: from this week, hours of Wednesday market is 3pm – 5pm. We will also have wholegrain spelt sourdough bread (and possibly more) for Wednesday market.

- Saturdays 10am – 2pm
